Nifty marks biggest weekly loss in 15 months; Q1 nos eyed

The sharp fall was attributed to absence of subsidy rationalisation, unrealistic fiscal deficit target of 4.1 percent for FY15 set by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his maiden Budget, not so reformist Railway Budget, fiscal crisis in Europe, issue of GAAR and unwinding of long positions, say experts.

Now the 8000 level on Nifty is possible only after the strong earnings growth that may be seen post September 2014, they say, adding 7400 will be major support level. They advise buying on such correction.

Five reasons why markets will do well even if Budget 2014 disappoints

MUMBAI: Deficient rains are making consumers unhappy across the country as they face the prospect of water cuts and high prices of essential commodities. But the same cannot be said of investors who are watching with glee as the Sensex and the Nifty scale new highs almost on a daily basis.

If the Budget is disappointing, markets could fall and FIIs could move away to other markets by selling their holdings in India. Now, there is a good chance that the Budget may neither shower goodies on investors nor dole out sops to corporates. Jaitley has a tightrope to walk and his first priority will be to rein in fiscal deficit and announce tough measures to cut spending and lift investment.

An improving economy makes it attractive for foreign investors to buy Indian assets and companies can get the kind of valuation they have always been seeking. Last, the economy is rebounding from multi-year lows. A high-powered panel of experts at an ET round table last week clearly said the economy has bottomed out and that a new business cycle may soon be in the offing. A GDP growth of 5-5.5 per cent in FY15 could signal the start of a much-needed recovery.

Sensex, Nifty hit life-time highs on Budget hopes


Mumbai: Continuing their record-breaking spree, markets on Tuesday hit new record highs with the Nifty breaching the 7,800-level for the first time and the BSE Sensex scaling another peak of 26,190.44 on hopes of growth-oriented measures in the Budget.


The 50-issue Nifty crossed the 7,800-level for the first time by gaining 21.70 points, or 0.27 percent, to trade at an all-time high of 7,808.85, surpassing its previous intra-day high of 7,792.00 touched yesterday.

साउथ इंडियन बैंक (South Indian Bank) के शेयर ने छु्आ 52 हफ्तों का ऊपरी शिखर (2)

शेयर बाजार में साउथ इंडियन बैंक (South Indian Bank) के शेयर भाव में तेजी का रुख है।

बीएसई में आज के शुरुआती कारोबार में कंपनी का शेयर 35.05 रुपये तक ऊपर चढ़ गया, जो इसके 52 हफ्तों का ऊपरी शिखर भी है। बीएसई में सुबह 10:13 बजे यह 5.84% की मजबूती के साथ 34.45 रुपये पर है।  

खबर है कि पबराई इन्वेस्टमेंट फंड (PIF) ने खुले बाजार के जरिये 32.50 रुपये प्रति शेयर के भाव पर बैंक के 19.6 मिलिनय शेयर 64 करोड़ रुपये में खरीदे हैं।

पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (Punjab National Bank) ने हिस्सेदारी बिकवाली समझौता किया है।

बैंक ने अपने हाई मार्किट क्रेडिट इंफॉर्मेशन सर्विसेस में अपनी 11% हिस्सेदारी बेची है। बैंक ने सीआरआईएफ (CRIF) को 415.02 लाख रुपये में यह हिस्सेदारी बेची है।

आज शेयर बाजार में बैंक के शेयर भाव में गिरावट का रुख रहा। बीएसई में यह 1.23% के नुकसान के साथ 979.55 रुपये पर बंद हुआ।

बजट 2014: यह हो सकता है पीएम मोदी का 'अच्छे दिन' का रोड मैप

अडानी पोर्टस ऐंड एसईजेड (Adani Ports & SEZ) ने एक संयुक्त उपक्रम (JV) समझौता किया है।

अडानी पोर्टस ने फ्रांस के सीएमए सीजीएम समूह के साथ मुंद्रा पोर्ट पर एक नये कंटेनर टर्मिनल के विकास के लिए हाथ मिलाया है। यह मुंद्रा पोर्ट पर चौथा कंटेनर टर्मिनल होगा।

कंपनी की यह खबर शुक्रवार को बाजार बंद होने के बाद आयी है। इसलिए इस खबर का कंपनी के शेयर भाव पर असर सोमवार को बाजार खुलने के बाद ही दिखायी देगा। आज शेयर बाजार में कंपनी के शेयर भाव में मजबूती का रुख रहा। बीएसई में यह 1.76% की बढ़त के सात 275.15 रुपये पर बंद हुआ।

Rupee rises to over 2-week high; up 16 paise at 59.53 Vs dollar

Mumbai: The rupee edged higher by 16 paise to over two-week high of 59.53 against the US dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market Thursday on increased selling of the US currency by exporters amid capital inflows.

Forex dealers said a higher opening in the domestic equity market and strengthening of the euro against the US dollar overseas also supported the rupee.

The rupee appreciated by 38 paise -- its biggest single-day rise in seven weeks -- to close at 58.69 in yesterday's trade on optimism that the budget next week would have strong measures to put finances and the economy back on track.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex climbed to yet another record-high of 25,924.25, rising 83.04 points, or 0.32 percent, in early trade today.

Mutual Fund industry AUM rises by Rs 80,000 cr in Apr-Jun qtr

New Delhi: Improved market sentiments helped mutual funds' assets under management (AUM) soar by Rs 80,000 crore or nine percent to Rs 9.85 lakh crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal.

The country's 44 fund houses together had an average AUM of Rs 9.85 lakh crore during April-June quarter of 2014-15, up from Rs 9.05 lakh crore in the preceding three months, according to the latest data available with Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

However, AUM had touched a record Rs 10.11 lakh crore at the end of May.

आईवीआरसीएल के बोर्ड ने डेट रीस्ट्रक्चरिंग को मंजूरी दी है। अब कंपनी शेयरधारकों से मंजूरी लेगी।

टाटा स्टील

टाटा स्टील अपने यूके स्ट्रिप प्रोडक्ट्स बिजनेस की रीस्ट्रक्चरिंग करने वाली है। कंपनी के मुताबिक रीस्ट्रक्टरिंग की वजह से 400 लोगों की नौकरियों जा सकती हैं।

प्राइम फोकस/रिलायंस कैपिटल

रिलायंस कैपिटल 350-400 करोड़ रुपये में प्राइम फोकस में माइनॉरिटी हिस्सा खरीदने वाली है। पूंजी का इस्तेमाल प्राइम फोकस ब्रिटेन के दूसरी बड़े एडिटिंग स्टूडियो के अधिग्रहण के लिए करेगी।

आइडिया सेल्यूलरबल्क कनेक्शन के नियमों के उल्लंघन पर टेलिकॉम मंत्रालय ने आइडिया सेल्यूलर को कारण बताओ नोटिस भेजा है।
